Incredible battles, huge drama, surprising ending, remarkable lose of some characters. It seems to go from one menace to the next with no time for the characters breath.
Didn't hold my Interest like his other stories. To much battling of same aliens. Just too unbelievable to hold my interest.
I got the whole series of these books before I read the first one, what a mistake. They are way too gory. It was as if the author couldn't tell a story without blood and gore. I wouldn't recommend this book.
Again read this one quite awhile ago; I also read Book 4. I was surprised to see that I'd missed reviewing Books 2 & 3 as I usually try to do them shortly after I finish the book. It's obvious at this point I enjoyed them enough to purchase & read the entire series. They aren't masterpieces but they are highly entertaining.
I LO V E THE CHARACTERS, THEY ARE ALL UNIQUE AS ARE THE DRAGONS!! I love Harold too!!_the witches are wonderful . A great read. Amazing story lots of adventures
M. R. Mathias is a creative, and imaginative wizard of words. The Confliction is the third in the series of what became four with the Emerald being the last. This book was equally as good as the others although my favorite was number two. This had a few quick conclusions along the way, but that is really me being petty. This series is fantastic. Anyone think about what the movie would be like? I know the movies are usually messed up, but I kept thinking about it.
As I noted in my review of the first volume, there is one part of the story that annoyed me, and still does. The "heroes" are totally inept. In any conflict, they immediately get the stuffing beat out of them. Every time. That aside, I found the series very enjoyable. I rarely say that I couldn't put a book down. But in this case, it was very difficult. A little on the gory side, hope they never make it into a movie. But this aspect did add to the pull if the story. Would they be able to triumph before everyone was wiped off the face of the planet? Don't read this for in-depth character studies. They aren't there (thankfully). Read it for the thrill of the action and for the love of the dragons.
